Cordos mobilized at Bradwell Elementary School in June of 2025, as part of a continuing program of exterior renovations at Chicago Public Schools that Cordos has participated in since Summer 2023. The project focus was a new stormwater detention area and turf field, encircled with playgrounds and parking. Cordos assembled and coordinated a well-developed team of qualified contractors and vendors to complete the project.

Cordos protected and maintained the existing playground equipment during construction, creating new ADA access to play area features. Our team resolved a conflict between the civil design and inaccurate existing topography data through the use of our design expertise. Precise elevation data was supplied, and changes were made to design to achieve effective drainage. Despite these hurdles, Cordos achieved substantial completion on schedule in early September.
