Cordos mobilized at Irvin C. Mollison Elementary School in June of 2025, as part of a continuing program of exterior renovations at Chicago Public Schools that Cordos has participated in since Summer 2023. The project focus was a new stormwater detention area and turf field, encircled with playgrounds and parking. Cordos assembled and coordinated a well-developed team of qualified contractors and vendors to complete the project.

The project included a phased completion; Cordos delivered the parking lot in early August, in time for school to start. The remainder of the project activities, which included paving, play equipment, a turf field, and landscaping, were completed while school was actively in session between August and October. Our team managed several additional work requests from CPS during construction, while maintaining schedule and budget. The project’s completion is pending at the end of October 2025.
